Why do you need aromatherapy? There are lots of benefits you will achieve with aromatherapy. Aromatherapy can be used on all four levels; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Research has shown human beings' sense of smell is stronger than any other sense. This means that what we smell is directly connected to how we feel physically and emotionally. Using aromatherapy is a great way to improve your mood, health and can also relax you in any way.
Treating your body, mind, and spirit is absolutely an essential part of your life. You probably think that treatment and heal can only be done by modern medical treatment. You are incorrect! A traditional method using aromatherapy oils has now been popular for these last few years. This treatment means a therapy that uses certain essential oils to rejuvenate the body, mind, and soul through a specific aroma or scent. That's why it's called aromatherapy..
Each plant offers different scent and benefit. Thus, you can pick what kind of smell and the advantage you'll get by choosing certain oils.
The next question is: how do you use aromatherapy oils then? Yes, these essential oils will deliver both psychological and physical benefits for you. But, you need to use them correctly and safely. There are some techniques on using these aromatherapy oils.
The first one is to inhale them. You can take 1 drop of the aromatherapy oils into your hand and inhale it deeply. Or else, you can take 1 drop into a tissue or a handkerchief and breathe in the aroma whenever you want. If you suffer from insomnia, for example, using this method before sleeping will be beneficial. Chamomile and lavender will make a perfect blend to treat insomnia.
Massage is the next method of using aromatherapy oils. You have to dilute the oils with carrier oils because they are too powerful if used separately. Carrier oils are actually vegetable oils that are mainly extracted from nuts. These oils provide lubrication, allowing your hands to move easily over the body. Massage by using aromatherapy oils will stimulate blood and alleviate the nervous system.
Another way to use aromatherapy oils is in bath. Before you take a bath, take several drops of your favorite oil blend into the water in the tub and disperse well. The sense of smell will make you calm, while the oils will stimulate your blood and skin. Take a deep breath, relax, and enjoy the scent of the oils.
